MORE OF THE WORK OF GRANDSIRE DOUBLES

You may double dodge in 4-5 at a single just as you would at a bob. If not, you will ring one of the following. Here is a flowchart showing the relationships between the work we have met so far. Finally, the work to learn to ring extremes and bingles:

What to do When to do it
Seconds

Make seconds (two blows in seconds place) over the treble and then lead again. You become the hunt bell.
At a single or extreme, when the treble takes you from the lead.

Long Thirds

Hunt to thirds place and stay there for four blows before coming back in. The first and last blow are over the treble.
At a single, when you pass the treble in 3rds place.
